Cosmetic Eyebrow Tattoo Removal – What You Need to Know

cosmetic eyebrow tattoo removalAt Rethink Laser Tattoo Removal, we see a lot of eyebrow tattoo disasters walk through our doors. Whether it’s old microblading that’s faded to an odd orange, poorly shaped brows, or botched work you’ve been stuck with for years — we’ve got you covered. Cosmetic tattoo removal is something we do regularly, and we’re very good at it.

We’re Experts in Cosmetic Eyebrow Tattoo Removal

This isn’t your standard body tattoo removal — brows are a whole different ball game. The ink is different, the depth is shallower, and the colour choices can be unpredictable. Luckily, our team has plenty of experience removing cosmetic eyebrow tattoos. We know what to expect, and how to handle even the trickiest cases.

Different Colours, Different Challenges

Brow pigments come in a whole rainbow of lovely surprises:

  • Dark browns and blacks usually come out fairly easily with laser

  • Reds and oranges can be stubborn and might darken (oxidise) before they lift

  • Yellow tones (often the final leftover pigment) don’t respond well to laser at all

Some colours can oxidise during the laser process — that means they go darker before they get lighter. It’s totally normal and part of the process, but it can worry people if they’re not prepared. That’s why we walk you through every step so you know what’s coming.

Why We Sometimes Use Saline Removal Too

When we get to that last bit of light pigment — especially those annoying yellow tones — laser sometimes isn’t the best option anymore. That’s where saline tattoo removal comes in. We use it in conjunction with laser to give you the best results possible and to target pigments that laser simply can’t shift. We highly recommend Sarah from Blushed and Body Cosmetics for your saline removal.

Healing Time Between Sessions

Cosmetic tattoo removal takes time and patience. We always recommend waiting a full 6 weeks between sessions to allow your skin to properly heal and your lymphatic system to flush out the ink. Trying to speed things could possibly backfire and damage your skin — not worth it!

What Does It Cost?

Right now, eyebrow tattoo removal is $140 per session at Rethink Laser. Most clients need between 2 to 6 sessions, depending on the pigment type, skin tone, and how deep the ink sits.
